The Global Net will bring together documentary filmmakers from all over the world. They will explore together or on their own life on earth, gathering stories, simple  and complex ones and present them to the public. The Global net will serve as a forum providing feedback, as a catalyst helping to raise funds for film projects and as a platform for presentation. Creativity, courage and the understanding that we all bear responsibility for ourselves, for the world we live in, and for future generations is the guiding principle of Global Net.

Global Net will put together a library of films to be presented on its web site. Since we are working with established and/or aspiring film makers and since the films would adhere to a certain professional standard , download would be based on subscription or on pay per view at reasonable costs for the viewer.

Distribution  will allow to give those a voice that haven’t been heard as yet. Be this the work of a filmmaker, be it a topic that did not find its way into the mainstream of the big TV stations, be it a project funded and undertaken by a group of villagers or other grass roots organization. We want to strengthen the spirit of one world, one human mankind, we want to ask questions, also inconvenient ones, we want to show solutions, we want to encourage others to take care of their own destiny and we want to foster a sense of true solidarity.

Global Net wants to do all this by making problems, challenges, ideas, creative solutions, the courage of individuals and of groups public on the greatest distribution channel there is: the world wide web.
